The Institute for Criminal Justice Healthcare is Internationally recognized for its "total healthcare" approach for offenders. Internationally: Because of its extensive experience in the International healthcare arena, ICJH has been invited to participate in several leading international conferences including the European Prison Conference in Hungry (sponsored by the Correctional Services of Hungry), ISPAC at the United Nations in Italy, The 9th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Treatment of Offenders in Cairo, Egypt and recently as a presenter during the 10th United Nations Congress in Vienna, Austria. ICJH participates in the Alliance of Non Government Organizations (NGO) in criminal justice, New York Branch of the United Nations and was invited to participate in the Ambassador Program with the Correctional Services of South Africa and the 50th Jubilee for the State of Israel Correctional Tour and Conference. Within the United States: ICJH is regularly invited to participate in criminal justice programs throughout the United States including The National Women in Corrections Conference, The International Community Corrections Association and The 3rd Annual Female Offenders Symposium. The President of ICJH serves as a member of the The American Correctional Association (ACA) Healthcare Committee, the ACA International Committee and the ACA Substance Abuse Committee as well as The Healthcare Advisor to the President of ACA and an Advisory Board Member to the Corrections Connection Online Healthcare Network (www.corrections.com/healthnet) and has worked with the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). In addition, the President of ICJH has played a vital role in the development of the Healthcare Performance Based Standards for the Commisison on Accreditation for Corrections.
